Robert Bryant Lilly

Robert Bryant Lilly, 82, of Abilene, passed away on Saturday, March 10, 2018.  A graveside service to honor his life will be held on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the Clyde Cemetery.  Services under the direction of Piersall Funeral Directors, 733 Butternut Street.

Bryant was born on July 19, 1935 in Clyde, Texas to Robert Iva and Thelma Elizabeth Lilly.  He was truly a jack of all trades and a master of none.  There was nothing made that he could not fix…it might take him a bit, but Bryant would always figure it out.  He spent 33 years of his life in service to his country in both the Navy and the Army, where he achieved the rank of Master Sargent.  Bryant owned Central Repair on Butternut Street for many years and was a long-time member of the Abilene Evening Lions Club.

Bryant was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Deloris Ellis.  He is survived by his daughter, Barbara Barker and husband Rich of Fort Pierce, Florida; his brother Wayland Lilly of Abilene; granddaughters Crystal Ratliff Baima and husband Christopher of Bakersfield, California and Falon Barker of Fort Pierce, Florida; great-granddaughters Lyla Barker-Bray and Saoirse Baima; and his nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
