Rebecca "Becky" Boyer

Rebecca "Becky" Boyer, 70. of Abilene, passed away at Northern Oaks Living and Rehabilitation Center on Sunday, June 29, 2025.  A memorial service will be held at Northern Oak, 2722 Old Anson Road on Thursday, July 3, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. in the cafeteria.  Arrangements under the director of Piersall Funeral Directors, 733 Butternut Street.

Becky was born to Lester and Mildred Boyer in Baumholder, Germany on June 24, 1955.  She was a social worker who enjoyed working with juveniles in need at the Abilene State School, Taylor County Juvenile Detention Center and the Denton State School.  She had a special connection with these kids and worked hard to make sure they were cared for.  

Becky is survived by her sister Rhonda Holder and husband Ray, and brothers Richard Lester Boyer and Robert "Bob" Boyer and wife Karen, and niece Shelley Holder.
