Phyllis Glodean Bonner (Bisher), born on November 28, 1932, in New Madrid, Missouri, passed away peacefully on September 19, 2025, in Clyde, Texas. She was 92 years old.
Phyllis was the beloved daughter of Lee Roy "Doc" Bisher and Ethelyn Mysta Haynes Bisher. Throughout her long life, she experienced both profound joys and deep sorrows, always carrying herself with grace and strength.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Royce Bonner; two sons, David and Donald Durham; four sisters—Hilda, Maxine, Shirley Ann, and Sheila Faye; two brothers—Bryan and Shelton Ray; two grandsons-in-law Chris Moore and Kenneth Johnson; as well as many other cherished family members who went before her.
Phyllis leaves behind a loving legacy through her daughter Pat Black and husband John. She was a devoted grandmother to Melissa Johnson, Ginger Moore, Chessa Black, Mandi Durham, and Jeremy Black and his wife Tiffany. Her joy extended to her great-grandchildren: Darrion and Paisley Moore, Benjamin and Elliott Black, Brandon Johnson & wife Kelsey, kelcey Bryan & husband JT and Colten Durham. Great-great-grandson Tucker Johnson. She also held a special place in the hearts of many nieces and nephews who will remember her fondly.
Phyllis’s life was marked by enduring love for her family. Her memory will live on through the generations she nurtured and inspired.
May her memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her.
