Tuscola

With profound sadness, the family of Nathaniel Albert Morris announces his passing on October 18, 2026, at the age of 24, just eight days before his 25th birthday.

Nathaniel, affectionately known as Nathan, was born on October 26, 2001, in Saginaw, Michigan, to Patrick Morris and Rebecca Jean Moore. He was a beloved son, brother, grandson, uncle and friend whose curiosity, many interests, and sense of adventure helped make him the person his family loved so dearly.

Nathan had an incredible variety of interests. He loved video games, cars, rock climbing, music, reading, Legos, archery, and computers. Whether he was exploring something new, working with technology, building something, or simply enjoying one of his favorite hobbies, Nathan brought enthusiasm and curiosity to the things that captured his interest.

Some of the most treasured memories of Nathan are found in the ordinary, wonderfully unforgettable moments spent together as a family. There were middle-of-the-night trips to Denny’s, building a giant Minecraft world together as a family, and taking turns tubing behind a jet ski in Galveston. These moments of adventure, laughter, and simply being together are memories his family will carry with them always.

As a student, Nathan competed in SkillsUSA and was a member of his high school swim team. He especially loved participating in the color guard through JROTC. His experience in JROTC ultimately helped lead Nathan to serve his country in the United States Navy, a commitment of which his family is deeply proud.

Nathan is lovingly remembered by his parents, Patrick Morris and Rebecca Jean Moore; his siblings, Daniel, Abygale, and Blake; his grandmother, Judy Morris; and his grandparents, Nancy and Thomas Wozniak.

Nathan’s life was far too short, but it was filled with experiences, interests, accomplishments, adventures, and, most importantly, people who loved him. From Minecraft worlds and late-night meals at Denny’s to summers on the water, his years as a student, and his service in the Navy, each memory has become a treasured part of the story Nathan leaves behind.

Nathan believed:

“A lesson without pain is meaningless. That’s because no one can gain without sacrificing something. But by enduring that pain and overcoming it, he shall obtain a powerful, unmatched heart.”

Those words hold an especially meaningful place in remembering Nathan. They speak to perseverance, sacrifice, strength, and the belief that even through pain, something enduring can remain.

Nathan will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever a part of the lives and hearts of those who loved him.
