Mildred Dee Westbrook

Mildred Dee Vaughn Westbrook, 85 passed away on Friday May 12, 2017 at her home in Hodges. She was born on May 1 ^st , 1932 in Hodges, Texas to J.E. and Sue Ella Vaughn. On February 11, 1949 she married Cecil W. Westbrook. Mildred lived in Hodges all her life. Together she and Cecil had two sons, Cecil David Westbrook and Prentice Taylor Westbrook, Sr. Through the years, Mildred worked for Timex, Master Corp and Hodges Gin.

Preceding her in death were her husband, her son, Cecil David Westbrook, her parents and nine brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her son Prentice Taylor Westbrook Sr. and wife Tinna Jo of Hodges and daughter in law Vicki Westbrook Vinson of Hawley. In addition, she is survived by eight grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.

A visitation with the family will be held on Sunday, May 14, 2017 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. at Piersall Funeral Directors, 733 Butternut Street.  Funeral services will be Monday, May 15, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the Hodges Baptist Church with burial to follow at Midway Cemetery at Hodges.
