Max was born and raised in Abilene, Texas. He graduated from Wylie High School and went on to a career with the U.S. Army in Special Forces. He loved music, horses, tattoos, mischief, inappropriate humor, and his family - both blood and chosen.

In lieu of flowers, Max's wish was for dontations to be made to Hendrick Medical Foundation, Coby Halifax Memorial Scholarship, 1900 Pine Street, Abilene, Texas.
A service honoring his life will be held on Saturday June 14, 2025 at 10:00 am at Beltway Park North with a graveside service immediately following in the Round Mound Cemetery.
