Lauren Hope Noel West (Hope) was born May 14, 1997 in Austin, Texas and moved to heaven in peace on September 17, 2025, in Round Rock, Texas. She was a loving daughter to her parents and a wonderful sister to her brothers Noah, and Elijah.
Hope graduated from Providence Classical Academy in May 2014 and enrolled in Texas State University where she worked on her degree until she was no longer able to do so.
Hope’s life was a beautiful reflection of the love of Christ as she was genuinely interested in loving and serving all those she met. She was also accepting of life’s difficult circumstances and pressed on in quiet strength. Her joy filled every room, her laughter lifted hearts, and her love for her family, and children in particular, was pure and unconditional. She also loved pets!
Hope’s devotion to her family was evident in part through her dedication and leadership in the yearly cousins’ camp, held by her precious grandmother, Debbie West. Being the oldest of the cousins, she organized extravagant activities for the younger children and directed plays and musical numbers to entertain the parents and grandparents. She began helping her Gigi put on this event at the age of 8, and eventually graduated to Camp Director. That being said, she created incredible adventures for her siblings and cousins that they will never forget. As a side note, she also created amazing fun food, and none of us will ever be able to replicated her baked s’mores. As the firstborn grandchild, it was Hope’s responsibility and privilege to name Gigi and Gaga (grandparents), which she did at age one.
Hope was known for writing beautiful letters and encouraging notes to everyone around her. She decorated them with artistic flowers, sunshine, and other lovely things. Her heart was easily seen in the thoughts she conveyed to others, and she always drew yellow things because that was her favorite color. Hope understood the importance of time together and became the family's memory keeper by insisting that photographs be taken at every event… even when some of us grumbled at the process of documenting so many wonderful moments.
As her faith, spirit, and mind were getting better and better, her physical body gave out.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Bill and Chris Tabor, and aunt Carol Casey-Davis. She left behind her mother, Brigitte West-Corey, and bonus dad Roger Corey, her father Gary West, and bonus mom Ellen West, siblings Noah West and Elijah West. She also left behind: grandparents Joe and Debbie West; bonus grandmother Ann Little; her aunt Angie Houston (with whom she was living) and counsins Hunter and Nathan; aunt and uncle Erin and Jason West and cousins Jax and Macie; great aunt and uncle Darlene and Larry Morphis; great aunt Christy Hines; cousins Elaine and Donald King, Jeremiah; and many others. Hope also left behind members of her new family, including Bret and Lauren Clifton (nieces Madison and Avery), Andrew and Aleea Corey (nephews Jaxon, Jett, and niece Joleen), Matthew and Laura Clifton (niece Jane and nephew Carter), and her cousin Nicole Vinton.
