June Dunahoo Walker went home to be with her Lord on July 14, 2025.  

Mrs. Walker was born June 28, 1932, to Jesse William and Essie (Wooten) Dunahoo in Burnet County Texas.  She grew up attending Lake Victor and Lampasas Texas schools. Mrs. Walker also completed secretarial training at Jackson Business College in Lampasas.

On June 4th, 1949, Mrs. Walker married Sterling Walker in Lampasas. She served as a minister's wife with her husband for several Churches of Christ in Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana. Mrs. Walker moved to Abilene after his death in 1997.

Mrs. Walker was preceded in death by her husband, Sterling Odell Walker, her son-in-law; Matthew Wesley Fillmon Sr; a great granddaughter, her sister and five brothers.

Mrs. Walker is survived by her daughter, Brenda Fillmon of Abilene, Texas; her son and wife Bradley and Tina Walker of South Padre Island, Texas; two granddaughters, three grandsons, seven great-grandsons and four great-granddaughters.

In lieu of a formal funeral, the family asked that you spend time in reflection, meditation, prayer or service to others.

A private burial will be held at the Burkett, Texas Cemetery.
