Jobie Caleb Prickett, age 36, passed away on July 20, 2026, in Abilene, Texas. He was born on June 15, 1990, to Michele Prickett.
Jobie will be remembered for his kind heart, loving soul, and the love he shared with those around him. He was an amazing son, loving brother and best uncle anyone could ask for. His smile and laughter lit up any room he was in. He touched the lives of many through his compassion, loyalty, and unwavering dedication to the people he cared about. His presence brought comfort, laughter, and strength to family and friends, and his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
Jobie loved to listen to music, read a good book or spend time playing games with his brother and nephews. He enjoyed finding new recipes to cook while trying different things. He was one who loved to try new activities and kept busy with different crafts and hobbies. If you ever needed anything he would drop anything he was doing to help you no matter what.
He leaves behind his mother, Michele Prickett-Elizalda, brother Bailey Prickett, sister Britney Halford and her wife LaRissa, as well as 4 nephews, Riley, Jax, Keygan and Dez, 2 nieces, Paxleigh and Paityn, friends, and loved ones who will forever cherish the time they shared with him.
He was preceded in his passing by grandparents Bobbie Joe and Elizabeth Prickett and dad Martin Elizalda. Though his life was cut short, the impact he made on those around him will never be forgotten.
Jobie's life reminds us to treasure every moment with those we love. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered forever.
