Glenn Uthe was born April 12th, 1940 in Cleveland Ohio to Clifton and Lucy Uthe. He eventually moved to Searcy, Arkansas, where he met and married Dorris Little in 1961 at Harding College. Glenn was a very proud and hardworking family man. After college, he and his family finally settled down in Chandler, Arizona, where he ran his own carpet and flooring store with Dorris for 28 years. He was always known to be outgoing and friendly with everyone he knew and came into contact with and made easy friends wherever they lived. He and Dorris moved from Chandler to Tyler in 1997, then back to Ohio and then to Abilene in 2017. In his younger years, he always enjoyed the outdoors, including golf and fishing. Lately, many who knew him knew that he always enjoyed ACU football and basketball and he couldn't let a day go by without sending out his daily funnies and inspirational messages to family and friends.
They had three children: one daughter Marta, who preceded him death in 1999, and two sons Craig & his wife Julie and Randall & his wife Caerilyn. He also is survived by his sister Beverly Stahl. Glenn & Dorris have 13 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
