Glendora Myrick

Glendora Myrick, 90, of Abilene, passed away on Saturday, July 19, 2025. A visitation will be held on Friday, July 25, 2025, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Piersall Funeral Directors, 733 Butternut Street. A family only graveside service will be on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at the Cross Plains Memorial Park Cemetery on Chestnut Street in Cross Plains, Texas.

Glendora was born on January 8, 1935, in Cross Plains, Texas to Odies Eugene and Annie Raughton. A 1953 graduate of Cross Plains High School, Glendora married her high school sweetheart, Danny Myrick on November 7, 1953.

Glendora was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Danny Myrick and sister Peggy Golson. She is survived by her son Wade Myrick and wife Misti and daughter Samie Myrick Shannon and husband Michael; grandchildren Sonya Myrick Roberts and husband Johnny, Chandy Ashenfelter Hewitt, Gentry Ashenfelter and wife Jennifer and Beau Myrick and wife Julianna; plus 7 great grandchildren.
