Wayo loved poking fun at friends and family, giving everyone countless nicknames, riding his bike, fishing, "thrifting", helping those who needed it, visiting those that needed the company, hating the Dallas Cowboys and foolishly rooting for the 49ers. Wayo spent years making endless memories with everyone he encountered. You couldn't go anywhere without someone knowing him in public, shaking his hand and sharing a story. Stories of being young in Barrio Sancudo , of playing baseball as kids, and boxing together or sometimes as opponents. You would often see him helping people in some way. The theme was always the same, he was the nicest and toughest person they ever knew.
Whether you were family, a lifelong friend, or someone he just met, Wayo left a lasting mark on everyone's life. He will be greatly missed
