Alberto Hernandez Banda

Alberto "Albert" Hernandez Banda, 57, of Abilene, passed away in San Antonio on Monday, February 23, 2026. A visitation and rosary service will be on Friday, February 27, 2026 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Piersall Funeral Directors, 7323 Butternut Street. Funeral service will be on Saturday, February 28, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 826 Cottonwood Street, with burial to follow at Elliott Hamil Garden of Memories Cemetery.

Albert was born February 28th, 1968 in Abilene to Juan and Maria Banda. He spent his life surrounded by family and friends that he loved deeply. Albert dedicated his career to painting cars, taking pride in his work and the craftsmanship he brought to every job. He was known most for his incredible sense of humor, his big heart and his willingness to help anyone in need. Albert devoted his life to his children and grandchildren, who were his greatest joy and his proudest accomplishment. He cherished his many nieces and nephews always bringing laughter and love into their lives. As the baby brother of his siblings Albert held a special place in his family's heart and was deeply loved. He is preceded in death by his parents Juan and Maria Banda. He is survived by his children Albert Banda Jr. (Sonia),  Ashley Banda (David) and Rene Banda (Joann); his siblings, Joe Banda, Isabel Gomez and Teresa Ortega (Scott); his grandchildren, Chloe, Albert Jordan, Grayson, Gabriela and baby Liam on the way and many nieces and nephews. He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
