Celestino "Curly" Rocha

Celestino Rodriguez Rocha, beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother and Friend passed away at his home on Monday November 30, 2015. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel at Piersall Funeral Directors, 733 Butternut Street.

Celestino “Curly”, “Bamba” Rodriguez Rocha, 73, was born on August 11, 1942 in Del Rio, Texas to the late Rosalio and Margarita Rocha. Celestino is the oldest of 10 children; Susie Villalobos, Rick Rocha, Margie R. Contreras, Jody Rocha, Pedro Rocha (deceased), Carmen Molina, Silvano Rocha, Arthur Rocha and Efren Rocha.

Celestino began a career as a chef at the Starlite Motel for 6 years and pursued other chef positions in numerous restaurants in his young life. However his passion and life long career was in painting. His first painting business company was C & O Painting co-owned with Oscar Villalobos followed by Rocha & Rocha Painting and his final business where he became self-employed and retired from Curly Rocha Painting.

Celestino was preceded in death by his parents Rosalio Sotelo Rocha and Margarita Rodriguez Rocha and his brother Pedro Rocha. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Rosa Alcantar Rocha; and his sons and daughters; Celestino Rocha Jr and his finance Armida Diaz, Isidro Rocha, Cruz Rocha and wife Rosemary Rocha, Christopher Rocha, Crescencio Rocha and his wife Esther Rocha, Rosalio “Leo” Rocha, Jimmy Almaguer and his wife Raynell Almaguer. Esmeralda Martinez and husband Ricardo Martinez, Dora Almaguer, Juanita Almaguer, Rachel Ramirez and Antonio Ramirez, Dominique Lozano and husband Daniel Lozano III, 34 Grandchildren, 48 Great-Grandchildren.
