Helen B Swenson

Helen Bernice Swenson, 61, of Abilene passed away March 27, 2008 at her home. Helen was born January 3rd, 1947 to Herman Muehler Sr. and Alma McGlaughlin Muehler. Helen lived on the family farm in Fairmont, ND until her graduation from high school in 1965. On September 24th, 1966 she married Marlen Swenson and moved to the family farm in 1981. That same year Helen began her employment for Herberger’s Department Store and worked there until her retirement in 2007. After retiring she moved to Texas to be closer to her family.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and a grandson. She is survived by two daughters; Vicki and Frank Stamp of San Antonio and Sherry and Mike Elder of Abilene, a son; David Swenson of Fergus Falls, two brothers ; Darrell Muehler and Herman Muehler and sisters Doris Huelsman, Alice Ellsworth, Betty Bohn, Elaine Mitchell, Shirley Wegschied, Darlene Carlson, Sharron Solberg, Linda Steffens and Patty Zietlow. Helen has 5 grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am Friday April 4th, 2008 in Fergus Falls, Minnesota at The Federated Church. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.pbfuneraldirectors.com.
