Mikel Marvin Hamer

Mikel M. Hamer 48, of Abilene, passed away October 11, 2012 at a local medical facility after a valiant battle with cancer. A visitation with the family will be held from 5:00-7:00 pm on Monday, October 15 at the Piersall Funeral home, 733 Butternut St. A service will be held on Tuesday, October 16th at 11:00 am in the chapel at the funeral home.

Mikel Marvin Hamer was born to Marvin Orie and Gayla Jean Ramey Hamer on April 11, 1964 in Aurora, Colorado. He has lived in Abilene since 2007 and was a mechanical designer for Dansco. He loved spending time with his family and friends. Mikel will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Preceding Mikel in death were his brother Wesley and a grandmother. He is survived by his wife Jennifer, a son, Mike Hamer, a daughter, Anna Hamer, a grandson Oliver Davis all of Alma, MI, his father Marvin Hamer, two brothers Joseph and Donald all of Abilene and a sister, Evangeline (Vongie) Arocho of Matthew, N.C.
